ALCOHOL

Alcohol will not be served in any government facility.

 

ATM

Automated Teller Machines (ATM) are located at the Ballistic Bistro in Building 661.

Open 24 hours a day.

 

AUTHORIZED USERS

  • Active duty soldiers and family member, National Guard and family members, retired military and family members, DOD civilian employees and immediate family members and contract employees living on the installation.

  • Guests of Reservist, National Guardsmen and retired military with one authorized user.  Authorized users must remain in the MWR facility with the guest.

  • Fort Greely contractors and their immediate family with spouse and children only with no guests.

  •  Fort Greely DOD retired employees and their immediate family members only with no guests.

  •  Sponsored individuals in an MWR organized sport and authorized by MWR.

 

CABLE TV SERVICE

Basic cable TV service, which includes HBO, Cinemax, TMC, is provided in each room at no additional cost.  GCI channel line-up is outlined in the guest room book.

 

CHECK – IN PROCEDURE

Contact the lodging office for reservations, a minimum of 48 hours, in advance of arrival, (907) 873-4311. If you arrive at Fort Greely during normal work hours, proceed directly to building 702 (1st floor) lodging offices.  For after hour check-in, your key will be in a lock box, located outside of each room.  A combination will be assigned to access your key.  Check-in time is 1300 or after. TDY orders must be presented at time of check-in

 

The daily room rate is $79.00. A fee of $10.00 will be charged for each additional family member after two persons.

 

CHECK - OUT TIME

Check-out time is 1100 or earlier. Check-outs after 1100 will be charged for another day unless late check-out was approved. If your departure is not during office hours (Mon- Fri 0700-1730) please contact the lodging office for arrangements at (907) 873-4311.

 

CHECK - IN AND CHECK- OUT INSPECTIONS (LONG-TERM LODGING)

“Check-in” inspections for long term lodging (a week stay or longer) will be a joint inspection between the lodging manager and the occupant. Upon your departure there will be a joint inspection between the lodging manager and the occupant.

 

CRIBS/ROLLAWAY BEDS

Please advise the Front Office, before arrival, if you need a crib or playpen at no additional fee.

 

CUSTOMER COMMENT CARDS

A customer comment card is available in each room or at the front desk.  Please take a moment to remark on our service. We will make it our priority to correct any concerns on a timely manner. Comments may be left in the room, returned to the front desk or mailed to MWR Recreational Lodging, Attn: Lodging Manager.  Or, if you prefer, visit our online customer comment survey at:  www.fortgreelymwr.com.

 

EXTENDED LEAVE

Personnel on extended leave may stay up to 60 consecutive days. At the conclusion, the next eligible guest on the waiting list must be accompanied. Thereafter, weekly approval will be granted.

 

FACSIMILE SERVICE

There is no charge for faxing official papers or receiving faxes.  Our fax number is 907-873-4312. Contact the Front Desk for assistance during business hours.

 

FAMILY ROOMS

A $50 cleaning deposit will be required at the time of check-in for family rooms.  Upon departure, the room will be inspected. If found in check-in condition, the deposit will be refunded.

 

FIREARMS

Weapons are not allowed to be stored in privately owned vehicles or office area while visiting or during work on the installation.  Any personnel who are charged with a Domestic Violence Assault act must surrender their privately owned weapon to the Fort Greely Police.  (Title 18 USC, 922, G8, G9) (Title 18 922, A32). The owner is required to fill out personnel weapons application form with the Fort Greely Police Station, located in Building 663.

 

All personnel utilizing the skeet range (civilian or military) must register their weapons with the DA Police in compliance with Fort Greely policy and travel the most direct route to and from the main gate and skeet range or to skeet range from quarters and return.  Weapons and ammunition must be stored separately out of arms reach while transporting on the installation.

FRONT DESK

The Front Desk staff is available Mon-Fri from 0700-1530 in Room 106 on the first floor.  For after hour assistance, please call the main number and the voice message will direct you with the cell number of an available staff member to assist you.

 

HOUSEKEEPING RESPONSIBILITIES

Services will be provided on a daily basis Mon- Fri 0700-1530. This service will include general cleaning, making the bed, changing out the towels, disposes of the trash and replaces necessary amenities. The housekeeping staff is not authorized to move personal belongings and may not be able to clean your room efficiently.  

 

HOUSEKEEPING SERVICES

Housekeeping service is provided every weekday unless the “Do Not Disturb” sign is displayed outside your door.  Towels are exchanged daily.  Guests desiring fresh towels should leave used ones on the floor of the bathroom.  If you wish to reuse towels, place them on the towel rack or door handle.  Towels must not be used for purposes other than personal hygiene.  Towels that are soiled or damaged by other use, will be charged to the guests room account.  Shoe mitts and make up remover wipes are provided in each room.

 

Bed linens are changed once a week for long term guests and after the change of each guest.

 

Carpets are vacuumed as needed and after each check - out.

 

ICE MACHINE

The ice machine, located in the main office Room 106, is available Mon-Fri from 0700-1730.

 

INTERNET SERVICE

Free internet service is provided in each room. Instructions are located in each guest room book.

 

KEY LOCK BOXES

Lock boxes are located outside each guest room for after hour check-ins or lock outs.  At the time of a reservation, the guest will be given the number code to access the room lock box.

If you misplace your keys, a $20.00 charge will be issued for re-keying the lock.  If your keys are lost due to theft, and an official police report is filed, you will not be responsible for the lock change.

 

LAUNDRY SERVICE

The laundry room is located in the basement.  Machine usage is Mon-Fri after 1630pm and 24 hour usage on the weekends. The washers and dryers are free to guest in building 702 only.

No laundry products are available for sale.  Please leave the laundry room clean after usage.

Malfunctioning machines should be reported to the Front Desk immediately.  Cleaning of TA-50 (Centrally Issued Gear) is not permitted in any washer. 

 

LOST & FOUND

Items left in the rooms after check-out are turned into the Front Desk.  If you leave an item, please contact the Front Desk as soon as possible. Items left after 30 days will be disposed of accordingly.  All expenses to mail left items will be the owner’s responsibility.

 

MAIL

The lodging office cannot accept personal mail or packages for the guests.  Guest should have personal mail delivered to their Unit or acquire a General Delivery box at the Delta Jct., Post Office or Fort Greely Post Office for all army personnel. 

 

MAINTENANCE

The lodging office does its best to keep all rooms maintained for repairs.  Should you need additional room repairs, contact the Front Desk during business hours or call the office phone for after hour needs.

 

MAPS

Installation maps are available at the Front Desk. Maps are also available in each room book.  Please do not remove maps from the room book.

 

NEWSPAPERS

A Fairbanks Daily News is available at the news stand outside of the PX.  The Delta newspaper is available every Thursday in Delta Jct.

NOISE

Excessive noise is a common complaint and can be reported during or after hours to the lodging manager.

 

PARKING

One parking spot is allowed for each guest in front of the lodging unit.

 

PAYMENT METHOD

A credit card is required to hold the room at the time of the reservation.  Room charges will be accepted by cash, check, Visa or Master Card.  Full payment is due at the time of check-out.

 

For long term guests, periodic monthly charges can be arranged or a payment must be made by the end of each month.

 

No starter checks (those without the payer’s name and address professionally pre-printed on the face of the check) will be accepted. 

 

PETS

Pets are not authorized to occupy any lodging buildings. Doggie Style, in Delta, is available for kennel service.

 

PLAYGROUNDS

There are 2 outdoor playgrounds available on base.

 

PROPERTY REPLACEMENT

Lost, damaged or destroyed property will be replaced at current market value..

 

RESERVATIONS

The room rate for all rooms is $79.00 a night for double occupancy.  A $10.00 fee is charged for each additional person over one year of age.  Reservations can be made in person at the MWR lodging office or by calling (907) 873-4312. Reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis, regardless of rank or grade. Please advise the Front Desk clerk of any additional guests or extra needs. 

 

ROOM ITEMS

Each room is provided with a double bed, microwave, mini refrigerator, iron & ironing board, hair dryer, luggage rack, alarm clock, telephone, extra pillow, blanket, high speed internet and television.  Six rooms are provided with a pull-out double couch bed.

 

ROOMS AVAILABLE

MWR lodging has 21 rooms for maximum occupancy.  There are 17 guest rooms and 4 VIP rooms.  818F and 818G housing units are also available for VIP guests.  Two family rooms are available each consisting of a double bed, roll away and 2 single beds. 

 

SAFES

The rooms are not equipped with a personal safe.  No other safe service is available to the guest.

 

SMOKING

No smoking is allowing in the lodging building, rooms or within 50 feet from the building.

 

SODA & SNACK MACHINES

The snack machine is located on the south end of the first floor in the basement.  Open 24 hours. The machine accept dollar bills or change.  If you require change, please visit the front desk during business hours.

 

VOICEMAIL

An insert in the room book will explain the procedure to access your voicemail.

 

WAKE-UP CALL

No wake-up service is available.
