ORIENTATION BRIEFING
Family Child Care Orientation Briefs will be offered on the 4 th Friday of each month at the Gabriel Auditorium #655, located across the street from the Chapel. They run from 1000-1100am. They will be held in the office of the FCC Director, Karol Blessing. If you have any questions she can be reached at 873-4593. Please call at least one week in advance to schedule your attendance.
A note about Unauthorized Care:
There are several types of child care on an installation which do not have to be provided by certified FCC providers. These include child care provided:
in a child development center (CDC)
by the parent, guardian, or blood relatives or care provided in the home of the parents guardian or blood relatives
by individuals in their homes when it does not exceed 10 child care hours per week on a regular basis
through Outreach Services such as Volunteer Child Care in Unit Settings (VCCUS), Short Term Alternative Child Care (STACC)
If a report is sent to the FCC office that unauthorized care is being conducted on Post, the FCC Director has three working days to investigate the report. If it is found to be true, a letter will be sent to the Garrison Commander informing him that this individual is in fact conducting unauthorized care. The family could lose their government housing privileges as a result.
I hope to see you at our next Orientation Brief
