The MWR Training Coordinator is based out of Outdoor Rec and has an office at the Skeet Range ( 873-5400).  Fort Greely community members may practice skeet, trap and archery shooting at this location.  Other priorities of the Coordinator are: snow machine and atv certification; kayaking, rafting, canoeing, camping, fishing and other guided trip assistance; the Valdez Campground;  works with the installation, state, and federal officials on programs and information related to outdoor recreation and required licenses/permits;  researches, plans, and develops or enlarges outdoor recreation areas; creates MWR SOP’s;  schedules, organizes other Alaskan excursions such as:  the MWR Shopping Sprees and Great Alaskan Shootout trips to Anchorage; Top-of-the-World Poker Runs, by snow machine, to Dawson City, Yukon Territory;  also assists other MWR staff members with the delivery of the Outdoor Recreation program at Fort Greely.
